Where is cable beach
Lifeguards are on duty at the beach from May to October and it is advisable to swim between the flags. Toilets, showers and change facilities are located by the car park and main entrance at Cable Beach Road West. With nothing in Broome more than a 15 minute drive away from Cable Beach, you can hire a car, catch a taxi, ride the Town Bus or, if staying close by, walk to this popular natural attraction. If you have a hire car, please check the conditions of hire as many hire companies do not allow their cars to drive on the beach.
If you are planning to drive on the beach it is important to be aware of the tide times. Turtles nest on Cable Beach between October and February, and there are some restrictions on beach driving during that time. You can find out more about the turtle nesting season and turtle friendly beach driving tips from the Shire of Broome.
Karijini National Park. It is revitalising just walking along breathing in the sea air. The downfall of swimming at this stunning beach is that during the months of November through to March, box jellyfish are commonly present.
These Irukandji Jellyfish are deadly. Four wheel drive vehicles may be driven onto the beach from the car park, so we took our's for a drive along the beach at low tide. They also run sunset camel rides daily along the beach. Cable Beach is also one of Australia's most famous nudist beaches. The clothes optional area is to the north of the beach access road from the car park and continues to the mouth of Willie Creek, 17 km 11 mi away At Gantheaume Point, at the southern end of the beach, about 30mts out to sea, there are dinosaur footprints dated back they say to approx million years ago, although the footprints can only be seen during very low tide.

I'm just not sure as some people say Uber is in Broome and some say it's not. Does uber exist in Broome? Most of us locals use the private taxi services in broome and can find them on Facebook. Town beach taxis Classic taxis Kimberley taxis Cable beach taxis Cable beach transit.
How do I get from airport to seashells hotel? I'm going solo. Massimiliano A Perth, Australia 4 contributions. Hi, they do not have Uber in Broome. You can hire a car and pick up it at the airport. Otherwise you can take a taxi or as third possibility you can book a transfer just check the website of Broome Transfer Have a nice day.

Hi, I was a woman travelling alone. Although you can walk into the old town from the Mangrove- pearls, markets, Matso's, cinema, Old Broome Gaol, sandalwood, etc.
I hired a car which made life much easier and let me visit Cable Beach and Town Beach good cafe there each day, as well as the Museum, Gantheaume Point and a variety of restaurants etc.
I took a day trip to Derby in it without problem. However you need to book a tour of a few days or day trips to really see the more remote or off-road sights and places like Cape Leveque. Broome including Cable Beach is quite spread out, I think it would be not nearly so easy or pleasant without some form of transport tons of taxis around though I didn't see lots of buses. I always felt safe. What's the best way to see Broome, Cable Beach etc for a single 54 yo woman?
Kerryn72 Melbourne, Australia 2, contributions. I was there solo- a car would have been useful as I found it expensive to do things otherwise.
Heading out to Willie Creek Pearl Farm is really expensive by coach. The local city buses were cheap though. The local bus took in quite a few of the sights so is a cheap option for a day or two. You can get an early bus it was am from Chinatown down to Guantheaume Point then walk the 5km to Cable beach and get back on the bus there to explore town Marcela P Perth, Australia 1 contribution.
This may seem like a silly question but we're looking for things to do with an almost 1 year old. Can they ride on the camels with parents?
